How to play Accra Life.

Accra Life is a free 3D life simulation game set in Accra, Ghana. You play it in your web browser at accralife.world/play on a phone, tablet or computer, with no download. Getting started

Your first ten minutes in Accra Life.

  1. Make your Sim. Pick a username, body, skin tone, face, one of 18 hairstyles and clothes from kente and wax print to a Black Stars jersey.
  2. Pick two traits such as Sika Hunter (gigs pay more), Waakye Warrior, Detty December or Tech Chale, and a dream such as East Leg Landlord or Ayekoo Worker.
  3. Get born into a family. The game rolls it for you: Dbee, Old Taker, Ohiani ba or Ante ba. It sets your starting money, perks and your storyline.
  4. Choose where to live, from a single room in Nima to a penthouse in Cantonments. Rent is paid every Saturday.
  5. Keep food, energy and mood up. Eat from your cooler, sleep in your bed, bath. The chip at the top of the screen always tells you what to do next.
  6. Follow your story. Open Phone › Story to see your chapter, today's tasks and where you stand in Accra.

The four families

You don't choose. Like real life, where you start shapes your road.

💳 Dbee

Rich parents. ₵3,000 extra, a Kia Picanto from Daddy and ₵500 every Monday. Gigs pay 10% less.

🏛️ Old Taker

Old money. ₵5,000 extra, ₵300 family allowance and free entry at every club door. Gigs pay 15% less.

💪 Ohiani ba

Grew up poor. Half the usual starting money, but jobs pay 20% more and energy lasts longer.

🚐 Ante ba

Hustler from Kasoa. You start in Kasoa, jobs pay 15% more and you get ₵200 hustle money.

Story and quests

Each family has its own five-chapter storyline. Finish a chapter's goals to earn cash and respect.

Daily tasks: three new tasks every game morning, such as finishing two gigs, eating two meals, going somewhere new or earning ₵500. Each pays a little cash and respect.

The status ladder

Your standing in Accra comes from respect earned in quests, your family name, your net worth, the homes you own and your career level.

Jobs, gigs and mini-games

Every shift is a short mini-game. Play well for up to 150% pay, or tap "Just work" for 70%.

Needs your own car. Nicer cars get better tips. Rise to ride-hailing boss.

📱 Content Creator

Skits and brand deals. Small pay at first, and a chance every shift that a video goes viral.

⚓ Dock Worker

Tema Harbour. From casual labourer to port operations manager.

🥚 Egg Seller

Kosua ne meko at night outside the clubs. Grow into the Kosua Ne Meko King or Queen.

💻 Fraud Boy

Fast money, real risk: EOCO raids take your money and days of your life.

🎓 University degrees

Take courses for credit at the University of Ghana (Legon) or Ashesi University. Eight credits and you graduate: Legon graduates earn 20% more at every job, Ashesi graduates 30%. Living in campus housing halves the fees.

🎲 Games around town

Ampe battles at Cyto School, oware, a goalkeeper game at the stadium, golf at Achimota, and an ATM hack that ends in a police chase.

Houses: rent, buy and customise

Sims-style homes, priced in Ghana cedis.

🔑 Own your home

Buy outright or take a mortgage with 20% down and weekly payments. Owners pay no rent, and homes rise in value every week.

🏘️ Be a landlord

Rent out homes you don't live in and tenants pay you every Saturday. Sell any time for what it's worth.

🧱 Build mode

Choose a house style (Compound, Modern, Cottage, Tudor or Villa), place walls, doorways, arches, glass walls and steps.

🌴 Your yard

Add a pool, garage (your car parks in it), garden, palms, fence, BBQ, outdoor lounge or fountain. Your house on the city map changes to match.

Homes include a Legon student room, a single room in Nima, chamber and hall in Kokomlemle, self-contained in Osu, a two-bedroom in East Legon, a Community 25 flat in Tema, Ashesi's Hillside hostel, a gated villa in Airport Hills and a penthouse in Cantonments, plus rooms in Kumasi, Tamale, Ho, Tarkwa and Kasoa.

Accra has more than 85 places. Four more cities are a ₵700 flight from Kotoka.

Walk, or take a Pragya, trotro, okada, taxi, Uber or your own car. There are 19 cars, from a Kia Picanto to a Rolls-Royce Cullinan.

Yes. Buy outright or with a mortgage, rent homes out, sell them, and customise the style, yard and walls in Buy mode.
